When Entrepreneurship and Family Life Come Together

Carol-Ann, a mother of two boys, has been a graphic designer for 15 years. Although she explored various industries, she quickly realized that traditional office hours didn’t align with the lifestyle she wanted. Working from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. left her with little time for her children, herself, and the moments that matter most with her family.

A Defining Turning Point

In 2016, Carol-Ann’s life changed dramatically when her 3-year-old son became seriously ill. She put her career on hold to be by his side, not knowing what the future would bring. The experience transformed her, reminding her of how fragile life can be and how important it is to cherish every moment.

Returning to Work: A Missing Balance

After her son recovered, Carol-Ann returned to work, but she still felt that something was missing. She longed for a true sense of balance—one that would allow her to grow professionally while still being present for her children.

A Defining Reflection

In 2021, while on maternity leave with her second son, Carol-Ann took a step back to reflect on her future. Inspired by her love of design and passion for organization, she created Mlle Label.

This journey showed her that entrepreneurship could turn her dreams into reality. She came to understand that finding balance between professional and personal life is essential to feeling truly fulfilled.
